This yarn feels lovely on the ball. And it feels lovely as you are knitting, like plump velvet running through your fingers.

But... it is one of the worst-wearing yarns that I have ever beheld. Do not use it for anything that gets *any* abrasion (sweaters, mittens, socks, etc), as the yarn will stretch, pill, and look shabby nearly instantaneously. If you are knitting something large, then beware, you will watch your knitting age before your eyes. Ask me how I know. Sigh.

The only items for which I could recommend this yarn are hats and scarves. But what's the point of its superwash labeling? It seems reasonable that one can splurge on all sorts of luscious (hand-wash only) fibers for accessories that don't need frequent washing. So why would you choose this yarn above such others?

So, my conclusion is that this yarn is good for fondling and little else. Maybe appropriate for a scarf for someone who has no idea that wool comes from sheep, etc.

Comments about Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran:

Wonderful next to the skin, both both children and adults who are very sensitive to itchy yarns. Washes beautifully with hardly any change to the gauge. Slightly loose twist, which actually works well with a Russian join, but frogging and reknitting sometimes makes your stitches look not as uniform as I would like.

Comments about Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran:

I used this yarn to make hats for adults and found it perfect for people who have a hard time remembering to hand wash knitted garments. It's super soft, lovely to wear, and knits up like a dream. The resultant knitted fabric is has just the right amount of stretch and shows off pattern stitches to perfection. This is becoming my "go to" yarn for hats and mitts.

I'm in the middle of knitting my 2nd jumper with cashmerino Aran. The first I knitted on 5mm needles, I may be a looser knitter than most but the finished product, while comfortable, is not at all hard wearing and doesn't hold it's shape. The jumper I'm knitting now on 4.5mm needles is much 'sturdier', will be a lot warmer and I think will wear much better. I will definitely use this wool again, the colour range is lovely and the quality is excellent.

Comments about Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran:

Yarn is squishy and soft, nice to knit with and knits up quickly. I have not washed yet, so cannot comment. My real complaint is the color photos - I know monitors can be off, but I received multiple yarns in my last order and some were exactly as pictured. One was much lighter than pictured and the two colors of this yarn were much darker and duller than pictured. They are not bad colors, but the Blackberry is not a bright purple, but more what the name would suggest, a deep dull purple and the fuchsia is not a hot pink, but rather a dark dull magenta color. I'll use them, but they won't work for my intended project.

This is a new colorway to me, but this is my go to yarn for baby items, as it knits quickly, machine washes up nicely( a MUST for baby things) and holds up well. I've also used it for sweaters and hats for myself, with very satisfied results.
My only issue is that it can get pilly, but what yarn doesn't eventually?
                    I highly recomment!

Used this yarn for a scarf with a double seed stitch pattern and 4 rib stitches at each end. I never knit the first stitch I slip it purl wise and it gave the edges a smooth look. I used size 8 needles. The stitches look great and the scarf looks expensive. I purchased more yarn for another scarf.
