I love the colors available. I love the feel of the yarn, the speed of the chunky and the way the finished projects look. I have purchased upwards of 25 skeins of this yarn in different colors -- some with the thread of sparkle. I have made at least 10 pairs of fingerless mitts with it and now have 11 skeins of purple ready to go into a sweater for myself -- I am going to be using a Plymouth pattern for this long length cardigan sweater!

Loved this color, made a cowl, every time I got up from knitting I was covered in fuzz, going have to be careful what I wear this cowl with.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Grande:

This product was recommended to me at a knit shop for a cable scarf pattern. I have now made three in three different colors that my future daughter in laws picked out on line (natural, gray and grayish purple)for their birthday gifts. For Christmas I surprised them all with matching headbands. I am new to knitting and really found this easy to work with, so soft and beautiful results!

I crocheted a cowl, and then crocheted and felted a hat with Baby Alpaca Grande by Plymouth Yarn. This yarn is so soft and "buttery' feeling. It felted with very quickly with excellent results. I will purchase this again!

I made a sweater and hat for myself in the Grey Alpaca Grande. Beautiful stitch definition. Slightly fuzzy, a little heavy (after all it is a bulky) , but sooooo soft and warm. Quick to knit. Looks beautiful!

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Grande:

I have now made two afghans/throws with this yarn and will make more. It knits up quickly, doesn't separate and feels wonderful to the touch to work with. Only thing not so great is that it sheds on your clothes as you work. But after washing no longer sheds.

Comments about Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Grande:

I sell a lot of winter beanies, and this is my staple yarn for that use. It is bulky enough that I can use a single strand with an L, M, or N hook, and I get one hat to about 2/3 to 3/4 of a ball of yarn. As you all know, people just HAVE to touch textiles. I let them finger the items closest to the door for a few moments, then direct them to a large shawl that is 50% Merino and 50% silk. The OOhs and Ahhs! Then, before that texture can grow too familiar, I put a hat made from the Plymouth Baby Alpaca Grande in their hand. It results in a sale as often as not. Great yarn, good color choices.
