    Bad Cat Designs Diwali Wrap

    Named after the Indian Diwali festival, the word comes from Sanskrit and is translated as "row of lights." The lace pattern used in this project is reminiscent of small oil lamps, with the beads glowing as little flames. This project is for the intermediate lace knitter who enjoys working from charts. Special elements include ribbed cables, twisted stitches and optional beads.

    Finished Size: 15.5" by 64"

    Yarn: 2 hanks Jade Sapphire Mongolian Cashmere 2-Ply (100% Cashmere, 55g/400yds)
    Shown in color Masala.

    Needles: US 4 (3.50mm) 32" circular

    Other Materials: 10 grams Japanese 8/0 seed beads, US 16 crochet hook (or size to fit beads), cable needle

    5 sts and 10 rows = 1" in stockinette stitch, before blocking
    9 sts = 2" and 9 rows = 1" in stockinette stitch, after blocking
