Grace Akhrem's Crashing Waves shawl is a lovely top down triangular wrap with wide eyelet lace bordering an inner field of stockinette. This delicate lace shawl can be knit in many different yarns; this pattern includes directions for two different versions. Lace pattern is written and charted.

Version A (S): 1 ball Jade Sapphire Lacy Lamb (100% lambswool; 825 yds per 60gm ball) (WEBS does not carry), color #109;
1 cone Habu A-20 Silk Stainless (69% silk, 31% stainless steel; 311 yds per 14g cone) (WEBS does not carry), color #7, held together
Version B (L): 1 hank Madelinetosh Prairie (100% superwash merino wool; 840 yds per 114g skein), color Vintage Frame.
Needles: US 6 32" or longer circulars
Gauge: Version A (S): 22 sts and 34 rows = 4" in St st with one strand of Lacy Lamb and one strand of Silk Stainless held together
Version B (L): 18 sts and 36 rows = 4" in St st with a single strand of Prairie
