A Felted Coat Inspired by the Princess & the Pea Story
This little coat, inspired by the Princess & the Pea story, is one I imagine little girls will love to wear: romantic, brightly colored, wonderfully girly without being overwrought.  The stripes represent the mattresses the princess slept on.  Little bobble peas decorate the coat.  Slightly felted, the coat is soft and warm enough to use in the Fall or Winter months.  Intermediat difficulty level.

Yarn: Shepherd's Wool by Stonehedge Fiber Mill (100% Merino worsted weight, 250yd/skein)
Sizes 2T (3T, 4T, 5T, 6, 8)
Solid Coat 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6)
Striped coats: sizes 2-4, 1 skein of each color; size 5-8, 2 skeins of ruffle color & 1 skein each of 10 other colors

Needles & Notions: US 9 32" circular needles, locking ring markers, tapestry needle, sewing needle & sewing or nylon beading thread, 6 0.5" pea buttons

Gauge: Unfelted gauge 20 sts and 26 rows over 4" in St st using a US 9 needle
Felted gauge 22 sts and 32 rows over 4" on a US 9 needle
