Sleeveless Tops
Cocoknits Nikola
Knitted shells tend to look boxy and unflattering, so I designed two tank tops with body-friendly shaping: flaring around the bottom, an empire waist and shaping around “the girls”. With or without the lace, it’s a very quick knit, as all summer knitting should be.
Skills Needed: CO, BO, knitting and purling in the round, increasing, decreasing, and yarnovers (for lace version).
Size: Small (Medium, Large, X-large)
The measurements below are YOUR measurements, not the finished size. This yarn stretches a lot so the finished piece will be smaller than your actual measurements. But don’t worry, once you put it on, it will stretch.
Your Empire Waist Measurement: just below “the girls” or around the bottom band of bra: 31-32 (33-34, 35-36, 38-39)"
Your bust measurement: Across fullest point of bust: 34-36 (37-39, 40-42, 43-45)"
Finished measurement: 20 (21, 22, 24)"
Yarn: 4 (4, 5, 5) skeins Araucania Nature Cotton (100% cotton, 100 g, 105 yds). Lace tank is color #11, Stockinette version is color #21.
Needles: 24-36" circular #9 or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: 2 yards silk ribbon for bow (optional)
Gauge: 24-36” circular #9 or size needed to obtain gauge
