With simple materials - cotton yarn, beads, hook, and an almost endless variety of motifs, you can create a unique and striking wearable piece of art.  Working with fine 10/2 pearl cotton, a very small 1.5mm steel hook, and your choice of beads, you will join your chosen motifs into a coherent and stunning piece of jewelry.  Construction of the individual pieces is simple, but because of the scale it is important to be familiar and comfortable with most crochet techniques.

Yarn and hook will be included with the class fee. Please make sure to pick up materials before class begins and do the homework!!
500 Size 8 beads in your choice of color - 2 tubes at Webs Bead store
Your crochet tool kit (see materials list for Crochet I)
A cushion for your chair

Homework: Please string ALL your beads!! Then, gently push the beads down the yarn until you have enough yarn to crochet a chain to a length that fits comfortably around your neck- the beads will sit on your yarn beyond the chain. Remember that we will be attaching motifs to this chain to create the necklace so make sure that it is not too long; it should lie just along your collarbones.
