Knitting Classes
Sewing Patterns for Knitting with Shannon Okey
There are many shortcuts to knitwear design -- formulas, spreadsheets, charts -- but as an enthusiastic knitter or aspiring designer, one of the quickest shortcuts you can take is using sewing patterns as templates to help with the tricky bits. It's a visual learning method that's easy and fun. We'll learn how to measure ourselves the right way and translate this information to pattern shortcuts for great-fitting knits. No sewing experience required, just an open mind. Bring your tape measure and, if you have one, a sweater or sewing pattern you'd like to translate to knits.
