This two-day hands-on workshop will focus on the basic principles of machine knitting. Students will explore texture, color, pattern and materials while learning a variety of knitted structures and techniques. These may include Fair Isle patterning, stripes, hand manipulation of stitches, and short rowing. Students will be introduced to the functions of the knitting machine, machine maintenance, use of tools and troubleshooting techniques.

• Machines are provided by the instructor for a fee of $20 per student, payable to the instructor the day of class.
• Yarn for class use will be supplied by WEBS at a cost of $30 per student, payable the day of class.
• All tools for the machines will be provided by the instructor free of charge.
