In this two-day workshop, students will go back in time, to when we had no language of color. Students will start there, as a place to rethink color.
Using watercolor paper and pencils, we will get to the root of color using the primaries as our base and then go on to using primary colors in dyes. Participants will leave the class with at least 36 little skeins of dyed yarns, with the recipes for repeating the dyeing process on their own. We will follow techniques outlined in the book Hand Dyeing Yarn and Fleece. Participants will also dye their own Color Grid©
