Advanced Drop Spindle
This class is designed for drop spindle spinners who would like to take their work to the next level and hone their skills. We will explore different spindles, drafting techniques, plying techniques and spindle spun art yarns. Participants must be comfortable spinning a continuous yarn with the drop spindle.
Prerequisite: Spinning with a Drop Spindle - Introduction
Instructor: Ashley Flagg
Date: Sunday 4/21
Time: 10:30am - 4:30pm
Materials Required:
• Drop spindle (suggested, Schacht 4" Hi-Lo Spindle)
• Niddy Noddy
• 5-8 oz of a long-staple wool such as Mixed or Ecru Blue Faced Leicester
•Optional $20 payable to instructor for an art batt of spinning fiber

If beginner drop spindle left you wanting more, then this class is the one you have been looking for. The instructor, Ashley Flagg, is passionate about spining and takes the novice on to a new level of what they can do with such a simple tool. This class not only concentrates on the many ways of spinning and plying on a drop spindle, but branches out ,taking the hands on approach, by using different fibers-and takes a cool trip into the world of unique art yarns. This class is a must for anyone who wants to go onto wheel spinning. Fun ,informative,eucational- you leave wanting to take the class again (yes, it is that good!),
