Alasdair grew up in Vermont. He has been crafting since age 4, teaching crafts since age 12, knitting since age 26, double-knitting since age 27, teaching double-knitting since age 28, and thinking about writing a book on double-knitting since age 29. He is now 34 and lives in Cambridge, MA, with his wife and cat. In his time outside of knitting, he fixes computers for Brandeis University, enjoys cooking and eating good food, listens to esoteric music, audiobooks, and NPR, and tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
