Weavers, do you need a way to finish or secure the edges of your handwoven fabric? Overlock machines are great for creating professional-quality seams on woven fabrics. In this class, weavers who create their own fabrics will learn how to finish raw edges using the 4-thread and 3-thread overlock stitches, create rolled hems, and make use of the serger's differential feed to achieve a balanced stitch. Students will have an opportunity to create a variety of samples on different types of fabric, and by using different machine settings. Class will be taught by Tess Poe of Beehive Sewing, who will also provide sergers for the class.
