Comments about Introduction to Rigid Heddle Flip Loom Weaving:
I am a long-time knitter and crocheter who always wanted to learn how to weave, but was intimidated by the thought of it (new vocabulary and skills, large piece of wood so unlike a pair of knitting needles). This class was offered at the same time as a similar Stitches class (which was nearly twice the price) so I finally gathered the courage to give it a shot. Leslie Ann did a fantastic job teaching the class! I left with not only a gorgeous scarf, but a loom as well (so be prepared to do the same thing, as most of my classmates bought one also, we were all hooked after just one class). I've been happily weaving since then, adding skills along the way, and making beautiful items for friends and family. If you've always wanted to learn how to weave, this is a great place to start. And if you haven't thought about it, but are just looking for something new to do, this is a great class to take. LA is a great instructor teaching a wonderful craft.
Comments about Introduction to Rigid Heddle Flip Loom Weaving:
This class met my needs perfectly. Leslie Ann demonstrated each step, from dressing the loom to tying the fringe. We were then able to perform the step on our own looms. By the end of the morning, the looms were dressed and we were ready to start weaving. I loved being able to proceed at my own pace, neither having to wait nor keeping anyone waiting. I'm very pleased with my first scarf and confident that I know the basics.
Comments about Introduction to Rigid Heddle Flip Loom Weaving:
The class was a lot of fun and Leslie Ann clearly knows her material. 10 of us, only one who owned the loom, left after a full day of learning and laughs, with a stunning first project that made us all look like experts.
