Registration Info

Throughout the year, WEBS offers an extensive selection of classes and workshops. Whether you are jumping into the fiber arts for the very first time, returning from an absence or ready to take your skill to the next level, WEBS is sure to have a class that will fit your need. In addition to our incredibly talented local staff of teachers, we strive to bring nationally known teachers to the shop throughout the year.

Please review the registration information below and be sure to check out our Winter/Spring 2024 Class Catalog.

REGISTRATION: Registration for classes may be done in person during store hours; online at yarn.com; or by phone at 413-584-2225. We ask that you please provide an email address when registering for classes. We use email for sending important class information such as reminders, cancellations, and additional information. We will not use your name or contact information on anything without your permission, and you can opt-out of receiving marketing materials and emails. An asterisk (*) denotes classes that are required for the WEBS Expert Knitter Certification Program. Classes marked with two asterisks (**) are only open to graduates who have completed WEKP.

If you are having difficulty registering for classes or haven't yet received information about classes you registered for, please contact Customer Service or Education and Events Manager Beth Zych at bzych@yarn.com.

FULL CLASSES AND WAIT LISTS: If you are interested in registering for a class that is full, please contact Customer Service to be put on the wait list. If a registered student needs to drop a class, we will contact the wait list to fill the available spot.

TUITION, FEES & CANCELLATION POLICY: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of registration. Class tuition is non-refundable unless the class is cancelled by WEBS due to low enrollment or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. If you must cancel a class for any reason, you must contact Customer Service at least 2 business days before the start of the class, unless you are canceling for reasons of illness or injury. In addition to tuition costs, there may be specific fees associated with each class for materials or equipment rental.

CLASS MATERIALS: Be sure to check the class page for information about required materials and homework for each class. (If you do not have access to a computer, please request a hard copy of the lists from Customer Service or a store staff person.) Unless stated on the product page for the class, please purchase your materials before the start of your class. In most cases, the cost of materials is in addition to tuition. When possible, please buy your materials from WEBS. Books and patterns listed as “Required” will be discounted by 15%. Purchase your yarn for all your classes together and you may qualify for the standard WEBS discount of up to 25% off. See the website, or store staff, for details and restrictions.

If you are registered for an in person class, we recommend that you order your class materials at yarn.com and select the In Store Pickup option. We strongly suggest that orders be placed at least one week prior to the class date to ensure that they will be available for pick up on the day of the class.

For the comfort and safety of our students and teachers, students may be asked to wear a mask during in person classes and workshops, and are available upon request.

HOMEWORK: In order to use class time most efficiently, instructors may require you to do a bit of pre-class homework. Homework can be found on the product page of each class.

WINTER WEATHER/ILLNESS CANCELLATIONS: If WEBS is closed due to winter weather or an instructor cannot make it to class due to illness, class will be cancelled. If an instructor needs to cancel a class, you will be notified of the cancellation as soon as possible, and the instructor will schedule a make-up for the class. Please check the website, any of our social media outlets, or call Customer Service if you are unsure if the store is closed.

AGE POLICY FOR CLASSES: Children under 16 are welcome in our Summer Kids Knitting Camp, but unfortunately we cannot advise that they take our classes, even with a parent present.

DOG POLICY FOR CLASSES: Unfortunately, while leashed dogs are welcome in the store, they are not allowed into classrooms unless they are service animals.

ALL-DAY CLASSES: If you register for an all-day class, please plan to bring your own lunch. WEBS has a refrigerator to store perishables, and you will eat in your classroom.
