I have been wanting to buy these for quite some time. I have gotten into the habit of winding my yarn into a ball (more like an egg for me) before starting a project so I do not run into any knot along the way. Now that I am into knitting socks and I have bought some hanks, I needed a swift too! I just bought it yesterday so I have only wound a few balls of yarn so far. It is so quick and easy! I love how it feeds from the center and the cake of yarn does not move anymore while I am knitting! I am very happy with these two products!!!

I love these!! And they work great! I use them in my craft room and have them clipped to the edge of a bookshelf because I don't have a table to use them on. But because the metal swift will tilt, using it practically anywhere is not a problem.

Saves a lot of time and frustration when winding wool. I like the "squarish" ball that results when wound. Also the wool can be retrieved from the centre or the outside of the ball depending on the thickness of the wool which makes for an more even tension. The swift increases or decreases in diameter which is great for various lengths of hanks; it is easy to set the diameter with just the touch of a button up or down the shaft. The only con is that the swift feels flimsy when setting it up, so it may take a bit of practice. The ball winder is separate so it can be used to wind wool from purchased balls which I usually do because I like the flow of yarn from a "ball" wound on the winder. I purchased this product because I travel between countries and like to have a portable swift. I would not recommend this for a business, not strong enough

I can't believe I waited so long to get these! They make a HUGE difference. My stash is now so gorgeous and organized - the wound balls stack so much more efficiently, I cleared out a ton of room for new yarn!! Absolutely love them.
