Block 'n Roll Blocking Mat

Block 'n Roll - Block to perfection, store with ease!

Let Block 'n Roll make your beautiful projects look even better. The generous surface area of Block 'n Roll can accommodate projects of many sizes. Projects may be pinned directly onto the surface of the mat. The 20mm X 20mm grid is very useful in lining up and keeping straight edges, hems and seams.

The Teflon coated surface is heat and water resistant. This allows for steam, wet blocking and pressing. For best results, let your project remain on the mat until it is dry. If you've been thinking about purchasing a blocking board, but aren't sure where you would store it, the Block 'n Roll mat may be a good alternative for you. Due to its rolled up size, it should be easy to find a place to store Block 'n Roll so it will be readily available when you need it again.

Dimensions: 38” W x 55” L opened flat.  Rolled size:   38" L x 6" diameter.

This product is perfect if you want a large board with gridlines, whithout buying the more expensive solid board.

Since it's not solid, you have to put it on a flat surface (bed, floor, large table...) otherwise the unsupported edges will not stay flat.

Not as described

The description says that the mat is heat resistant, yet the item I received showed a scorch mark from an iron. Someone else had obviously tried the product and returned it.

The mat is very very thin and light weight. It's not thick enough to hold pinning to block a substantial project. It would only be ok for a light shawl that doesn't require stretching to open up the lace. Otherwise, you'll need to place bricks or something on the corners so the mat doesn't roll up.

Large but thin

Comments about Block 'n Roll Blocking Mat:

The size is great as is the grid but the 'foam' is so thin and flimsy that I'll need to use a second layer of towels or something in addition to this mat. I've used smaller, cheaper mats that were three times as thick as this one. Very disappointing. I don't regret the purchase but I think its priced at twice what I really think its worth. I would not have bought it had I known how thin it is.

    works well

Comments about Block 'n Roll Blocking Mat:

I thought it would be too flimsy, but my lace shawl blocked fairly well on the mat. Shawl was long so I still went beyond the length of the mat. Really bought it for the grid to avoid having to measure/straight lines.

Comments about Block 'n Roll Blocking Mat:

I started making modular blankets and this is a life saver. The grid means I can layout many individual squares really fast and have them end up perfectly square. I find it has been great for blocking sweaters In perfect symmetry.

I am glad I chose the pad instead of the board. It fits my work table, it rolls up compactly for easy storage, it is easy to pin into. I am pleased with professional results after using mat to block my piece. On-line instructions for use very helpful.

Comments about Block 'n Roll Blocking Mat:

My first project was a thick sweater that never seemed to dry because the mat is dense. I think the mat is great, just not for larger, thicker items.
            Having the grid is great
