Noro Kureyon

Noro Kureyon is the original striping yarn. It is incredibly popular year after year and we can see why! Each skein of Noro Kureyon is a multitude of natural colors and no two projects will look exactly alike. This beautiful yarn is just waiting to be knit.  Made in Japan.

Note: color 102 is expected in to WEBS by the second week of February.

I used Noro Kureyon to make a throw for a birthday gift for my sister. The colors are vibrant and help create a patchwork effect. I love the way knitting with Noro surprises you...you can't really know what it will look like until it's finished and no two items will ever look the same.

Comments about Noro Kureyon:

on sale this is good buy and very warm yarn, so far I've made fingerless gloves with it, but it does make up sort of bulky. My problem with it, is if you pull it to a knot or end off and want to secure etc. it will pull and rip on you. so be careful!

    Comments about Noro Kureyon:

Kureyon worsted is my go-to choice for mittens and hats. The colors and variety are great. I wish Noro would leave out some of the pinks and fuchsias though, but I just snip them out and rejoin the ball. Price is moderate, too, for so fine a product. Also love WEB's service.

      Comments about Noro Kureyon:

I bought this yarn to make the Lizard Ridge blanket and I am not disappointed. It is stunning yarn and is making an equally stunning blanket. I love that it is so easy to do a felted join on this yarn - though a warning to be careful washing in the future! There is huge variation in the thickness of the yarn throughout each skein. This doesn't bother me at all for a blanket. It might for another garment - depending on the style. There have been places in the skein that were so bulky and fuzzy/thick that I have felted them thinner by wetting and rolling between my hands. The yarn is cleaner than I expected. Some bits and pieces of grassy stuff, but not much at all. Not even once a skein. I'd read from others that was a common occurrence, so have been pleasantly surprised. Really, if you like the look of this yarn - you will love it! As I said, it's making a perfect, PERFECT blanket.

It was not as soft as I expected. I would not recommend it for a scarf that is close to the face, a little too scratchy.

              Comments about Noro Kureyon:

This is fun yarn and wonderful striping. However, the colors in each ball are different, so if trying to do a smaller item it might be difficult to make it look right. Maybe better for larger items. E.G. one ball has no teal or green, the other has no orange or red. Hard to make it work on a small scale if you are looking for any kind of repeat.
