I chose this as an easy project to bring along on vacation. The directions were easy to understand and the pattern was quite easy to work. I made a few errors in the border, which were easy to fix, and ended up with a very pretty little shawl.

Comments about Valley Yarns 456 Sumac Berry Shawl:
This shawl is edged with a picot stitch. While I consider myself an intermediate crocheter, I have not used this stitch often. The stitch was not described in the pattern, so I had to look it up.
