Fixed Circular Knitting Needles
Knitter's Pride Cubics Fixed Circular Needles 40"
Knitter's Pride Cubics Fixed Circular Needles have a cuboid shape in the body of the needle that gradually gives way to perfectly tapered birch wood needle points. The ergonomic shape is comfortable to hold, lessens the need to grip tightly, and yields uniform stitch formation. The densified, laminated wood is rich in appearance, yet it is also lightweight, strong, flexible, and warm to the touch. Needle size is measured diagonally and these needles fits into standard needle sizers just like round needles. These needles are also available in 24" and 32" lengths.

These needles are great. They take a little getting used to (maybe one knitting session) but then you realize the stitches don't slip off and the needles don't slip against each other in they way they do on round needles.

Comments about Knitter's Pride Cubics Fixed Circular Needles 40":
Well I prefer metal needles for my knitting needs but the wood is attractive and strong. Wood is the only way this brand comes. I have ordered more of these to replace my round needles as these are so much more comfortable for my hands. I can knit for longer periods of time with them. You do need to watch your gauge more as the size does not match round needles as well. They could be polished a bit smoother and I do that by rubbing for a while with a courser acrylic yarn.

Very nice product. Smooth joins. Easy to hold. Nice feel to the wood. I needed to re-gauge, as the square needles messed it up a bit. I knit tighter with these, apparently. Overall, I would happily buy more!

Bought the circular to match with the dpns for sock knitting and will definitely buy other sizes. The cable has good flexibiity and the square shape does help with the hand cramping.

Comments about Knitter's Pride Cubics Fixed Circular Needles 40":
The best thing about these needles is they don't bend, a problem I've had with metal needles. My knitting does not move as easily as I like, there is some sticking if you do not keep knitting up close at the cable & needle joins. This is a small sacrifce to pay for no bent kneedles!
Pros
- decent quality
- Fair Price
- Sharp points
Cons
- Joins could be smoother
Best Uses
- Any project

Knitting Forest Path Stole. I am a loose knitter and I find using the cubics a tremendous help with keeping the stitches even.

Comments about Knitter's Pride Cubics Fixed Circular Needles 40":
I have MS and RA, along with neuropathy and my knitting has sometimes suffered because I could not hold the needles comfortably. A friend told me about the Cubics, so I tried one last month. OMG!!! I was actually able to knit for 4 hours with no pain and no tremors! Wonderful needles. I am going to order a pair a month until I have them all! Wonderful!
