These needles work well for infant hats made in the round. The shorter length makes it possible to avoid using double pointed needles on these smaller projects.

I like the looks of this product but wish it offered a 20" length. Right now I'm using them on a cotton blend and they are working fairly well. The tips tend to occasionally split the plies when I don't pay close attention.

Comments about Knitter's Pride Karbonz Fixed Circular Needles 16":
I so wanted to love these needles, as I knit a lot of socks with Size 0/1, and wanted something I wouldn't have to worry about breaking. I love the carbon fiber material (warm), and the cords are really nice as they don't hold a curled shape and have a good solid feel. Unfortunately, as is the case with most small-sized needles, the joins snagged. Specifically, one had good joins, while the other snagged (I had bought 2 sets), so I'm thinking its a quality control problem.
As usual, Webs was happy to take the return and followed through with the banking expeditiously.
