The yarn arrived very quickly and I was so excited to start my next project. However, upon examining the yarn I found the dye job not to be even. I loved the rust color, but the variations of the skeins was to drastic for my project. I was very disappointed in the color not in the yarn itself. I loved the texture and weight and it would have been perfect for my project. I would buy this yarn again only if the dye job was better done or there were tons of skeins to choose from

Comments about Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed:
I am knitting a stockinette sweater in the round and I like the look of the tweed fabric I'm getting. Cons are that the yarn does not have dye batches and the skeins vary slightly in color, so the manufacturer recommends alternating skeins every few rounds, which I'm doing and the sweater is turning out nicely. It's a nice, easy weight of yarn to work with.

Comments about Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed:
Two points to emphasize with Rustic Tweed: it's much softer than the photo would indicate, and it knits smaller than a worsted weight; more like a DK.
This is lovely yarn: I have listed "tonal" as a con in case people want even dyeing; however, I really like the slight uneven color across fabric. I have used it in a heavier-weight lace shawl and it has worked out beautifully, which you wouldn't expect in a tweed yarn. Soft without being fuzzy; good stitch definition; nice, heathery colors. I would buy this again.

Comments about Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed:
This is an interesting yarn, it is very rustic in appearance. The coloring is not even, but that's what I like about it. It's meant to be rustic looking. This yarn would be great for sweaters and even mixing another yarn with it.

Comments about Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed:
Love knitting with this yarn. Was a litter lighter than many worsted so had to adjust my pattern a little. Works up nice and feels wonderful.

Comments about Queensland Collection Rustic Tweed:
One ball out of six has the same dye lot and clearly is MUCH lighter upon knitting with it. The lightness was apparent only after using it as the dye patterns can vary. The difference created a much lighter stripe. I had to rip the whole back (intricate cable pattern)and use three different balls to make it match the front. In addition, the yarn feels cheap and I fear it will not hold its shape. Wont purchase again.
