This workshop is a faster paced version of Top-Down Shawl Basics. Stephen West uses his popular shawl designs to talk about shape, construction, and drape. Students will knit a small triangular swatch in the first half of the class while topics such as cast ons, increases, bind offs, and blocking are discussed. Special emphasis will be focused on different shaping techniques. You will also learn some of Stephen’s favorite tips and tricks! In the second half of the class, Stephen will share some of his design-developing processes and explore different fabric possibilities with the students.
