Aslan Trends Pima Clasico is a 100% pima cotton yarn that is a dream to knit with and a pleasure to wear. It's fantastic yarn for all baby, kids and adult knitting and crochet projects. Made in Peru.
Note: The solid colors recommend machine washing in cool water. The marled colors recommend hand washing. To be on the safe side, we recommend hand washing both in cold water.

This was an impulsive buy for me. I orderd this product in many colors,and I think they all are nice. However, I did have some trouble with unwinding the hanks. Two of them became a huge knots. and I spent many hours trying to undo them. With that said, I do take blame for the the mess due to the lack of experience with winding hanks. I still give it 3 stars,because it's nice soft yarn.

I really enjoyed working with the single color yarn so ordered more yarn for other projects. While the solid was easy to work with, the varigated gave me problems. The individual strands of color were loosely twisted together to form the 5 strand yarn. This made it easy to accidentally split the yarn while knitting. This often resulted in re-doing areas later as I realized I had not picked up the entire strand with my needle.

I've knit a pair of long baby pants in dark green which are perfect for mild weather, and the mottled deep color won't show soil. Has a wonderful soft feel. Next, with "volcano" red, another baby/child item.
Yarn recommends hand wash which isn't for every Mom, so it's a bit of a drawback. Maybe "special occasion" pants. Haven't washed/dried it yet.

This is a fantastic cotton. It knits up beautifully and is less corse than most 100% cotton yarns without feeling over-processed for the sake of softness. Highly recommended for those with sensitive skin (like my whole family - I'm a cotton expert now!)
