I've knit a man's stocking cap and scarf from this yarn and really liked the finished products. The yarn is much softerand livelier after washing, very comfortable next to the skin. Well worth putting up with a little splittiness during knitting, and I will definitely use it again.

This yarn is smoothly spun. It's a nice weight for indoor sweaters, and for accessories. The tonal variations are interesting and attractive.

When I finish the sweater I'm making with it, I'd consider changing my rating; right now I don't have enough information about next-to-skin wearability, washability, tendency to pill (if any), etc.

I've enjoyed working with this yarn so far, and am glad that I bought a few extra balls in other colors for hats, gloves, etc. (The sweater is blue--one of the prettiest blues I've ever seen!--and the other balls are green and grey.) The colors are all lovely.

I'm rather new to knitting and did not want to waste a lot of money on a project that was going to come out poorly and sit on a shelf. I used this yarn for a long intricate scarf. It knitted up nicely, the color was vibrant (maybe too much so for my taste), and the scarf was quite lovely. So lovely in fact, that when done I had wished I used a better quality yarn at a heavier gauge that would be softer and more cozy. This was a bit thin and scratchy (more a sport weight than DK)... I bet it would be very nice for socks, or even a funky colorwork hat. Also, since the yarn is washable wool, the scarf stretched quite a bit after blocking and the article lost some of its beauty.

Good basic knitting yarn. Nice subtle color variation, a bit scratchy not for hat or too close to skin. Best for sweater/vest some other outer garment.

I am making a lace vest in pinky-purple for a gift and like the slight tone changes for the pattern I working on. The swatch worked up nice and I found this soft on my hands to work with. I do get occasional yarn split when working but would still use again bottom line 4 stars.

I got the mustard and the variegation is really beautiful. Minus one star because it's soft enough but not crazy soft.
