I am using this in Fair isle and I love the result. The order of the color changes feels really random. I don't think I would like to use this on it's own.

The yarn is machine washable wool, very soft, and of good quality. But beware if you intend to knit a project of four balls or less- the color shifts are so long that the balls appear to be from totally different lots. One shift is longer than a single ball. This makes for frustrating knitting since it is almost impossible to line up the shift when finishing one ball of yarn.

I am using this in a simple cowl for a friend suffering from cancer who is undergoing chemo. I will probably get a cancer cap to go under this in case it is a little scratchy for her. But it is warm and she loves the colors. Because of the long color shifts, I recommend projects that are simply stockinette or garter stitch so you can show off those colors. I think gansey patterns might take away from the beauty of the yarn. I noted above that the yarn sheds; it does - but not too much. I'm halfway through my cowl and occasionally I've had to remove a bit of fluff. With proper care, I don't think finished projects would pill too much.

I love this product, and will order it againa and again. Problem is that the colors are not as represented online, so I have had to return yard several times. Also, your packers are not careful about putting in a variety of skeins of yarn as they are different, right in the same colorway. This is a problem.Otherwise, it's really a lovely product.

I made a scarf/cowl for my daughter using three of the colors, so that when it is doubled around the neck the colors shift and blend. It came out better than I had hopped with no splitting while knitting. I would recommend this for any project.

The flow of colors in this yarn creates a lovely end product. It looks like more work than went into the project. Entrelac works very well with this yarn. The gift afghan I made was very well received!

The headline says it all. I bought color # 34 and I am very pleased with the resulting sweater. I'll be picking up more in other colorways. I highly recommend this yarn!
