Aslan Trends Pima Clasico is a 100% pima cotton yarn that is a dream to knit with and a pleasure to wear. It's fantastic yarn for all baby, kids and adult knitting and crochet projects. Made in Peru.
Note: The solid colors recommend machine washing in cool water. The marled colors recommend hand washing. To be on the safe side, we recommend hand washing both in cold water.

I paired this with several colors of linen yarn to create a striped cotton cowl (free pattern on ravely). Knit up beautifully, feels soft but sturdy.

Have made kids sweaters w this yarn. Would use for baby sweaters and blankets as well. Too bad this is now a closeout. I machine wash gentle and tumble dry on low without problems. In fact almost all of the cottons are washer and dryer compatible if done on gentle cycle and low heat. Suggestion: Make a swatch, then wash and dry several times. If it survives this, it is good for baby and kid knits.

This is gorgeous yarn. I have purchased and knit with the fire red, the blue atoll, and the white swan and each is wonderful- slight sheen, smooth feel, knits to the gauge indicated. Love this stuff. The only issues I see are, 1) though it is indicated as "machine wash" on this site, the labels for the yarn I received recommend hand washing. And, 2) the yarn is a bit splitty. This has not been a problem for me but it is something to consider.

This seems like a nice yarn, but I haven't used it yet. I just wanted to let people know that the label instructs you to "Hand wash in cold water using mild soap, lay flat to dry or dry clean".
I purchased one skein of this and a couple other yarns to see which I liked best for a baby blanket I am contemplating - but I won't make a baby blanket out of handwash yarn :( I just can't do that to a new mom.
I'm already imagining other projects for this yarn - it is very soft and pretty. The color I ordered is Sungarden, and it really does just sing out "SPRING"!
