Comments about Valley Yarns 10/2 Linen:

I really really wanted to like this. I bought a quantity of 1/2 bleached for use as weft. It pigtailed horribly, even though I wound it off horizontally onto bobbins. In a single tube I would hit at least 15 knots-if I could get one full bobbin worth that was not knotted I was lucky. Most of the times I'd get 1/4-1/2 bobbin before I hit a knot. Frustrating!

The warp I was using was 20" wide. I found this shrunk way more than other 10/2 I've used-my final product was 16" where it was 17.5" with a more relaxed twist (I'm blaming it on that, maybe it's something else). The end product came out OK (which saved this from getting a single star) but we fought the entire time. Sadly, I doubt I'll reorder, and will continue on my quest for a good 10/2 at a reasonable price.
