A wonderfully soft cotton to work with. While not recommended to machine wash, I found the colorfast excellent when washed on Hot and machine dried. Since I knit a lot of children's clothes, I like to "push" yarns to the limit for ease of care.

I knit with a loose gauge that draped absolutely beautifully.

Gauge used: 5.5 sts and 7.5 rws per 1" (Size US 7 Stockinette) This gauge produced as soft open knit. Perfect for warmer weather.

Could be used as a substituion for Sport Weight yarn (~135 meters/50 gram)

Price of buying on cones, even when not on sale, makes this a economical yarn, without sacrafice of luxury yarn.

It was suggested by a friend to buy this yarn. I made a summer cardigan, and loved every minute of it.
When I was done, I washed it to block it. In the wash the color was running, and it was shedding. I dried the cardigan flat, being careful not to stretch. Still, both the body and the sleeves grew at least 2". At this point I am not sure if I ever going to use this cardigan.

Excellent product but I heard that it may no longer be carried once it's out of stock. I love this stuff - it's affordable, great colors, and works very well on its own or doubled with weaving yarn. Nice texture.

It has been discontinued, which makes me sad. I found it works great for bath towels when combined with a warp of nice, soft, thick cotton I found at Paradise, which has also been discontinued and I cant find an adequate replacement for. What's happening?!

Wonderful yarn for weaving towels and washcloths - soft and absorbent. Very easy to weave with and the texture helps hide any inconsistencies in the weave structure. I love this yarn and am so sad that it's apparently being discontinued.

              Comments about Valley Yarns Noho:

I used this in a woven blanket, mixed with some gorgeous merino one-ply. I wanted the color to interplay, and I loved the fragile texture it added. It really made the project. Since then I've added it to a number of other pieces, and made a light summer shawl out of it using it for both warp and weft. Lovely stuff.

Weaving blankets for all ages. Soft and light weight, but surprisingly warm. The colors are varied which makes them great for seasonal throws. I understand it is no longer being made which makes me wonder what on earth will replace it.

This is 1 of my favorite yarns & I'm so sad to see it disappearing I had to order a couple more colors before they're gone. It knits up nicely, machine washes & dries well. The texture gives an interesting difference to lace sweaters.
