Anzula Mermaid
Anzula Mermaid is a luscious blend of sea cell and silk. This gorgeous laceweight yarn has a beautiful sheen and is dyed in gorgeous colors. With approximately 700 yards per hank, you can easily create a stunning lace project. Great for those who can't use wool!
The mill is currently unable to produce more Mermaid. Anzula is doing everything they can to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. They believe the mill may be having an issue with the seacell fiber disagreeing with their weather conditions. At this time we have no estimate on when Mermaid will become available. We will keep you up to date as we receive new information.

Beautiful colors, but not very stretchy/flexible. It's a little expensive, but I'd buy it again, and mix it with another kind of yarn. I wouldn't use it again, by itself. I doubled it, and it worked well for the sweater I made, however, the "give" was less than I would like to have had, and the shape of the finished sweater is sometimes a little "off".

I am using the shitake color and a Boye size B 2.25 hook to hand crochet a shawl. I have chosen a double crochet dropped stitch pattern (422 from The Complete book of crochet stitch designs:500 classic & original patterns / Linda P. Schapper) and the results are just stunning.The yarn has excellent stitch definition and the color has a soft sheen. The Anzula Mermaid is soft to the touch and it is easy to keep the tension of the yarn even. The fabric is working up quickly for a lace weight. The sea cell / silk combination has more loft and bounce than pure silk for a fabric that feels luxurious. I'll be back for more!
