I was afraid that this yarn wouldn't be bulky enough for the project I was working on, but it knits up at just the right gauge the directions said. I'm happy!

Service and delivery comments:
When I opened the package, I almost sent it right back. The yarn was tangled and had wisps hanging off of it. Still, I spent a couple of hours rolling it into a ball and made the project - Wow! When I asked customer service if it might have been returned/re-used, they reported that this yarn might have occasional "imperfect" presentation....

LOVE Araucania. Always fun to see the colors emerge into patterns as you are knitting. I used this to knit a Baktus scarf as a thank you gift for a New Yorker. Cotton is great for the transitional seasons.

I used this to make a gift for a young New Yorker: a spring/early fall cowl/scarf. The colors were beautiful. The yarn was a pleasure to work with and the finished product was better than I expected. Dry cleaning is recommended, although with 100% cotton, I expect cold water hand washing would be acceptable.

Rich color, very soft, nice weight.
But color is not as shown or described.
No. 10 is described as magenta, purple and gray.
The yarn is mostly magenta, with a small part purple, and instead of gray - the second most prominent color is a light teal green. I like the color combination, luckily, but it was very different than presented.
I've found this to be true with other cotton araucania yarns... Nice but colors are very unusual and not as shown.

Merchant response: The hand dyed colors in Araucania Yarns can vary quite a bit from skein to skein. For best color-blending, knit with two hanks, alternating every 2-4 rows.
