Absolutely swatch before you start on a project with this yarn! It is a thin worsted and you will need to adjust your gauge. It is worth it though...the colors work up stunningly.

I just bought 10 skeins of the #406 to make a sweater. What a challenge. Because of kettle dyeing....no two skeins are alike. But I love the colors....so I think I'll be driving out again on Saturday to buy another colorway.. (glutton for punishment...)

yes this is nature wool its minimally processed, so not very soft but its not too scratchy, it's wearable next to skin. It looks like they are teaching the children to kettle dye- the colors are all splotchy and thrown on the hank, but it DOES knit up looking fine. yardage/price are great. spun well, tightly, some springiness. Some of the colors are as shown, others not -its hit or miss, on hand dyed its expected overall a very good yarn for the money

I have purchased several different colors of this yarn and absolutely love it. It knits up well, looks great and you certainly cannot beat the price. It brings the cost of a handknit adult sweater into my price range.
