I knit a sweater coat out of Ultra Alpaca last Fall on US#6 at 5sts to 1". I wore it a lot runnig errands, with kids, etc. It held its shape beautifully with almost no pilling. The yarn is very warm and quite soft, although I wouldn't use it for 'next to skin' projects. It drapes, while holding shape, believe it or not! The color I've used - heather brick red - is now discontinued, but it's gorgeous and I've recieved plenty of compliments on my sweater. I highly recommend Ultra Alpaca and plan on buying more of it.

This yarn makes wonderful winter socks, the kind meant to snuggle under an afghan in front of a warm fire. It's a bit itchy around the neck, but for accessories for the hands or feet, it's absolutely perfect!

I love this yarn. I've made two shawls with this yarn. One in lobster mix, one in blueberry mix, and I'm about to buy more in another colour. Beautiful to work with, blocks well and holds its shape. Cozy and soft and everything nice.

I made a sweater for my sweetie with this yarn, and he loves it. It has a little bit of halo from the alpaca, but nothing significant, and it's very pill-resistant. Highly recommended!
