Unspeakably soft, this alpaca silk blend is begging to be knit into something lacy and delicate. The drape is appropriate for some of the new lingerie inspired designs and the quality suggests heirloom layettes. An indulgent yarn for the knitter and the wearer.
I have 2 skeins in green that I'm in love with--the color is even, the yarn is soft and easy to work with, and the drape is perfect for decorative scarves or shawls. I've knit up the first few inches of about 5 scarf patterns, but I can't seem to commit! I'm such a big fan of the yarn that I want to be absolutely sure that I love the pattern, too! I only wish there were more colors to choose from, or some multicolored skeins.
I have used this to make two pairs of fingerless gloves, and one stranded colorwork hat (with a double strand) and I couldn't be happier! If I knit with size 1 needles, the ribbing has plenty of stretch, and I really like the fabric. No pilling to speak of in the gloves.
