I purchased this yarn because it was one of the only worsted yarns I could find in the color I wanted. The color is exactly what I expected from the picture. It knits up well, but there are some sections of yarn that are a little thicker than others. Although, it doesn't seem that you can see the differences after it's knitted. Also, maybe it's something with the way I knit, but the yarn twists as I'm working. I have to keep stopping to untwist. Luckily, I'm working on circular needs, so I can just hold the yarn ball in the air & let it unwind on its own. But, it's still a nuisance.

Comments about Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted:

I love Lamb's Pride normally, and use it often for making felted items. The skeins in this order, from this company had several ends tied together in each skein which made them tangle. I have to wonder if these were not factory seconds.

Comments about Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted:

Fell in love with the colors of this yarn and am particularly fond of the heathers. Have wanted to make a felted bag for ages and have started my project. The pattern calls for double strand of the worsted. Felted the pocket already (just had to try it) and it is perfect. I live in Wisconsin and have done felted mittens with this yarn (bulky) and they are so amazingly warm - the cold and wind are no match for this yarn when it is felted. My kids don't want any other kind of mitten. The stitch definition is so awesome that I am now thinking I need to set aside my felting and do a sweater.

          Service and delivery comments:

I'm far from a yarn store and was a bit anxious about buying yarn without seeing it and touching it first. I have to say the pictures are great and the descriptions and reviews from other knitters are so helpful. When I get to a yarn store - I make note of what I like and then check it out on line when it comes time for a project. The delivery is quick and the order was perfect. I've never had to use the customer service department and that speaks to the quality of the selection, the products and delivery time. Also, the sales and discounts are SO great!

Comments about Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted:

Lamb's Pride is a good value for yarn to weave in Navajo style. It is worsted weight and spun tightly enough. It packs well.

Comments about Brown Sheep Lamb's Pride Worsted:

I have used Lamb's Pride Worsted for several years because I positively love their colors. It is also actually more of an aran weight than a typical worsted which gives it more strength as well as warmth.

Using this yarn to knit a hat for my boyfriend. It's a nice thick yarn with good texture. A bit on the fuzzy side, but that's to be expected with a mohair blend. Some people might find it a bit coarse or itchy, but I think it's pretty soft.

Loved this yarn! My cast on was a little difficult because it doesn't stretch much, but I was making a brioche hat which may have been the main reason why the cast on was so difficult. The yarn hides mistaked easily but fixing mistakes and knitting backwards was pretty difficult since the yarn tends to split pretty easily. Very warm yarn and made an awesome hat!
