The color selection of this yarn is fantastic. I bought it for a huge color work project and was disappointed. It is a very fine fingering weight and if you are using with other sock yarns like this project it is difficult to keep the gauge consistent.

      Cons

      • Slightly Splity

      Best Uses

      • Shawls

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Fingering:

I am making a lightweight sweater using the Paulie pattern and plan on using the rest.of my order on the funky grandpa pattern. It is a slow knit for me on small needles, but it is looking good and I like the fabric it is making.

      Pros

      • Drapes Well
      • Easy To Crochet
      • Vibrant Color

      Cons

      • Found A Couple Of Knots
      • Splits A Little Too Easil

      Best Uses

      • Blouse
      • Cardigan
      • Shorts

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Fingering:

Very nice fingering yarn. The blouse I made draped beautifully and is my favorite completed project now. The deep mauve color is fantastic!

I'm currently making a pair of summer cover-up shorts with the lime colored yarn that was on clearance. Aside from a few knots I found in the hank, it's working out just as well as the blouse.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Fingering:

It seems to me that 220 fingering yarn is soft, not a tight twist. I'd not use it for socks that might take hard wear. It's soft for scarves and shawls. There is a great color selection. I made one shawl in the exact same colors as shown on the free pattern, Cascade 220 on Web's site, where there is a photo.
