I am in the middle of making a hat for my partner and realized I might need another skein of yarn. I went online to check it out and its no longer there. I think the color may be discontinued. I am looking for color no. 9585. Any thoughts on what I should do? Can I find it anywhere else?

I am enjoying this yarn and think it will make a beautiful hat if I'm able to get more yarn.

I bought Cascade 128 to substitute for a long-discontinued bulky tweed yarn, and liked it so much once I started using it that I ordered two more colorways. It knits up quickly and evenly, with good stitch definition, and softens nicely after washing. I've found no knots in any of the hanks. My only caveat is that it can be a bit splitty if my needle catches it between its two plies. I would happily use Cascade 128 for any projects calling for bulky yarn.

This yarn is nice. The plies are just tight enough to keep from separating, but loose enough to maintain bounce. It's very easy to work with. Gauge is consistent throughout the skein and I didn't encounter any breaks or knots. The finished items are squishy-soft and pillowy.

I was surprised to see a poor review of this yarn. I knit a big bulky sweater in the Spring Green color and I happily wear it next to my skin. Wearing a sweater's worth of this stuff makes me feel like I'm in a huge hug. And as a bonus, it knits incredibly fast. I already bought a second sweater's worth.

I was disappointed with the yarn I think it's coarse & somewhat scratchy. I was going to return it but the receipt said I couldn't return a sale item.
