Classic Elite Yarns
Classic Elite Yarns Soft Linen
Classic Elite Soft Linen is a touchable wonder in a surprisingly soft blend. Linen adds durability and cooling properties, wool adds elasticity, and baby alpaca softens this squishy, multi-ply yarn. Soft Linen is great for spring and summer garments you can wear into the cool evening. Made in Peru.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Soft Linen:
Wow - love the results I got with this yarn. I knitted the Porto sweater from Twist Collective in new fern (color 2281). It has a nice even twist, evenly dyed, no knots in the 10 or so balls I used, and makes a sturdy spit splice. I used a gentle (no pins) wet block to get the seed stitch edging to lay flat. The fiber content is perfect for a dk yarn, producing a cool weather weight garment with a little warmth and tremendous drape. I think the stray filaments of linen in the halo ad charm, but some folks may not like them.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Soft Linen:
This yarn was purchased with the Classic Elite Meadow Melody pattern pamphlet to make the Daisy cardigan pictured. I was a little unsure of how it would knit up---although soft, the yarn had a somewhat rope-like look to it in the ball (may have been the color I chose, but there were little bits of fiber from the linen sticking out that contributed to this). I am now about half-way through the sweater, and I am loving this yarn. It has a very nice hand, with a soft but very slightly crunchy texture, and it gives great stitch definition. Now I am eyeing the pullover from the same pamphlet and trying to decide what color of Soft Linen I want to make it in.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Soft Linen:
This yarn is very nice to work with. It is easy to fix if you have to frog. Does not tangle while working. Texture is soft. Using for a shawl and the colors are nice and blend well together. I have been very happy so far in working with it. Look forward to seeing how it is after blocking and wearing. So far I couldn't me happier with it. I love natural blends.

Found a sweater pattern in "Jane Austin" magazine that I liked. I used this particular yarn to do a variation of the sweater and turn it into a cardigan. I like it.
