I bought the grab bag with the intention of making some hats. I am kind of new at knitting and just learning about all the different yarns out there so I thought this would be a great way for me to get my hands on some. My only special request was no acrylics and an assortemt of colors and fibers...well, I can't complain about that. They did a great job with that and I got such an assortment. The only problem I have is that I only got 1 100g skein! With the many different fibers, colors, etc...not many even go "together" to make something. I don't find that it was a huge savings, especially when I am finding myself buying more and more just to use up what I have! I can't say that I would not buy this again though. It was exciting to open the package and see all the neat things inside. I did manage to feel a lot of different fibers and textures, I will just have to get creative to figure out how I am going to use some of it.

i love working with scrap yarn and am always looking for new stuff for my stash. i was absolutely thrilled with the yarns i received. i asked for dk/worsted/chunky wools and blends in all colors and got exactly that. many were lovely blends with silk, alpaca, mohair,etc. just what i wanted. no fun furs, no weird novelty yarn. it was great to open the box and admire all the name-brand yarns i would've never bought on my own. it was like christmas! i will definitely order this again.

This is the second grab bag I've ordered, and I've been thrilled with both. My requests were honored, and I got a great variety of really nice yarns. My package included several silks, wools, cottons, and some viscose and milk. WEBS even threw in an extra skein!

Good selection of yarns, there were 26 skeins in my box, cotton, wool, a couple silk, ( a Classic Elite Posh, yum) some superwash, all good brands, only 2 skeins I wasn't crazy about, will use in toys or something, one was kinda flat and pilly looking and one was a garish green, all others were good colors, very usable. Priced out around $150.00 using sale prices on Webs. Will be good for small projects, accents in larger projects and good in sampler type things. Already playing with the wonderful skein of raspberry "Posh" will be a scarflett. Looking forward to using what I have so I can do this again. The variety is inspirational.

This grab bag would have been much more useful to me if I'd ordered three exact duplicates of what I got. I've spent a lot of money making the skeins useful to me - for example, one skein Debbie Bliss Camo. I had to buy three additional skeins in order to make it useful. That being said, the project I made was something I NEVER would have thought to do, and I love it to bits.

Tonight, I took a skein of something from the grab bag and combined it with something else from my stash and made a hat. by itself? the skein wasn't useful. but I was able to pair it up with something. I've also spent a fair amount of time over-dyeing yarns to make the heap of neutrals I got more useful.

I was fascinated and charmed by all the milk protein, sugar cane fiber, bamboo, alpaca, camel, etc yarns - I love "oddball" fiber sources, and for that alone, the grab bag was educational and entertaining. Still, I wish there was a middle stage "50 skeins of 20 different yarns" or something - some of these yarns are going to be well-neigh on impossible to pair up usefully.

I really wanted to say I loved this grab bag, but I have to admit I'm disappointed. I ordered the 50 skein grab bag. I requested a girly bag in natural fibres (excluding cotton). I also noted that most of my projects would require 100 grams, and would be very happy to have duplicates of yarn if the skeins were only 50 grams. Only 5 skeins out of the 50 were 100 grams so I'm going to be really challenged in finding projects for this yarn. All of those were fairly chunky yarns with low yardage. In addition the majority of colours were pink and purple. Last time I looked girls could wear a lot more than pink and purple, and finally there were only 49 skeins anway. The closeout price on these was just under $180 so there was very little saving to make, especially considering I cannot use most of this yarn. Next time I will just buy what I want.

This was a gift from my husband for mother's day and I couldn't be happier. It was a great way to see/feel a wide variety of yarns. The bag was mostly 50g skeins that varied from lace weight all the way to bulky and all things in between. Most skeins were were a cotton blend or wool blend. I will probably go through the stash and find the ones I really like and order extra for larger projects. This was a nice treat and I may order one once a quarter to really get a variety all year round.

I received my grab bag today and was so excited. All of my requests were honored. I asked for mostly fiber yarns and received wool, silk, cashmere, bamboo, and cotton blends. Nice array of colors and ply sizes. Only a $31.76 savings off of the closeout prices. The point was to have a little fun and try yarn I wouldn't normally buy. Succeeded! wouldn't hesitate to do it again
