I substituted this yarn for a plain wool worsted in a sweater pattern and couldn't have been more delighted with the results. Besides several verbal compliments I get admiring looks when I wear it. It's soft, beautiful and warm, and the colorways which imitate different painters' styles (mine is Matisse) truly do look like an out-of-pocus painting.

I had to adapt the pattern and my knitting style a little to accomodate the non-stretchiness of mohair, and few things are more maddening than mattress stitching fluffy yarn, but it was worth it. Once I recover I'd like buy more to make another sweater.

I used this yarn to make decorative border on a scarf and to make some crocheted flowers as decorative accents. I can honestly say that this finishing touch gave my scarf boutique worthy status and I wish I ordered much, much more because I later discovered that it was discontinued. I am now in desperate search for it at other sites. Yarn is not only wonderful color but is very lively and fluffy and so much fun to work with !!! LOVE IT !!!!!!

I purchased this yarn to add color to a nordic sweater that needed just a touch of this color. Fit in nicely, shows up well and feel is good.

A bit hard to knit, as binder is rather thin. Ended up crocheting with Portrait and a fingering weight silk wool blend in a coordinating solid. THis helped give my sweater more thickness, easier to see to work with , and a bit softer...none of the picky mohair problems I usually have.
