I was making a large, swing sweater so I wanted to use either a heather or tweed yarn to break up the monotony. This tweed yarn worked up beautifully, showed the stitch definition well around the cuffs and front placket and provided a very nice overall look. It is a little stretchy but I think it will firm up with some blocking.

I ordered two lots of Cascade yarns, and neither even remotely resembles the color on the website. This yarn is color no. 7703, which is pictured as a salmon color, with tweed flecks. This yarn is tweedy, but is a dark rust color, nowhere near the color shown. I love to knit, and I like to coordinate my wardrobe. I would be very hesitant to order yarn if I was trying to match an outfit.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Tweed:
Wonderful, lighweight non-scratchy wool. I bought two colors and am so enjoying them. The sweater I made had negative easing and this yarn was perfect for that. It stretches a ton, but will spring back to it's original shape when it is off the body.

Comments about Cascade Yarns 220 Tweed:
Used most recently for grandsons sweaters, knit at a very small gauge, resulting fabric very smooth and even. also have used for adult sweaters at larger gauge with equally good results.
