Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
I knit this soft yarn into a Classic Elite Yarns sweater pattern; this was the yarn recommended by CEY for the pattern. The yarn knit up without the snags or ravels typical of cotton, and it drapes beautifully, It blocked easily and perfectly into the dimensions on the pattern schematic. I had hoped that the Tencel would inhibit the cotton's natural tendency to stretch, but it surely did not. After rather a lot of knitting time, I have a distinctly oversize sweater. I could only recommend this yarn for a garment where a fluid drape is the objective, and never for any pattern with YOs.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
So easy to knit (or crochet) with - it makes every stitch and twist/cable stand out beautifully. Its hand is delicious, but I did find it sent out small tufts of fluff occassionally as I knit! The summer cardi I made from it has only softened with washing, and has become my go-to cardi. The colour has remained vibrant. So sad that this product is being discontinued. If you can grab some for your stash, it's definitely worth it at this price!

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
Very nice feel to the yarn, but it's so hard to buy on line. The color is a grayed down pink, and I'm diappointed. I know all monitors calibrate color differently, along with the dicey digital photos, so you never get a true picture. But in an industry where color is very important, a return policy on sale yarn would be appreciated.

I knit a beret with the beach lavender and it came out great. It's a beautiful color, has fantastic stitch definition, is incredibly soft, *so* easy to knit with, and makes everything you do with it look good. Can a cotton yarn be plump? This one seems to be. Try it in a twisted rib and you will be amazed at how elegant it looks and feels.
Not sure what a previous reviewer meant by unevenly spun. I saw no sign of that.

Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
I loved the softness and drape of this yarn. It was so pleasant to the hand. I went up a half size in needles from the recommended size and wish I hadn't. However my tee from the Round Pond book is gorgeous. The only negative was that every now and then there was a thinner part of the yarn which really was noticeable in the stockinette stitch. Otherwise this was so soft and gorgeous and for a cotton, had a silky feel and look.

I am updating my original review of 3/24/10 after checking with my niece as to how the yarn was holding up. She said the baby sweater remains beautiful after numerous washings. She has experienced no pilling. It is one of her baby's favorites.
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
This yarn is very soft, easy to work with and the colors are beautiful. Love it.
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
My daughter made a complicated Rowan sweater pattern when she first learned to knit. It was very adaptable to her changing tension, and needless to say, wonderful in the hand. The sweater, however, pilled very soon. Maybe that's the price you pay for softness; still it was disappointing after such an ambitious project for a teen.
Comments about Classic Elite Yarns Premiere:
This yarn is wonderful to knit with. It is extremely soft, yet does not split as other soft cotton-blends do. I am currently making a child's sweater with an intricate cable pattern, and the stitch definition is beautiful. LOVE it and its beautiful array of colors!
