So, I know the product description mentions how soft this yarn is, but I couldn't fully appreciate it until I got it and started knitting.

I bought this in "sand", a beige color, to knit a small fingerless glove for my aunt to wear under a thumb brace that used to rub on her wrist and fingers. I also got a sock yarn to knit a second glove, and knitting with that just reinforced how soft this yarn was. It knits up into a silky, lightweight fabric that I couldn't be more pleased with. It's a tiny bit splitty, but all in all, it was a pleasure to use.

I tried a swatch on recommended #2 needles. My very old 2's are blunt and wooden. The yarn split and got caught up on the needles. I switched to 5's. again, splitting and catching. The intention for this yarn was a shrug so I lept ahead to 8's with sharp points and very slick. A simple lace pattern just fell apart. Very pretty color (dusty pink) but I can't figure out how to use this stuff yet. Anyone else have anything?

Comments about Laines Du Nord Baby Milk:

I am using this yarn to knit a dress, so I'm getting a good chunk of experience by working with over 1300 yards in 3 colors. The yarn splits a bit. I knit stockinette often without looking, but I find myself having to check on this project more often as I find areas where I have not grabbed the whole strand of yarn. I got it at a good discount, so I'm able to make the entire dress for about $40. For that price, I can overlook some yarn splitting. The yarn is still really soft and cozy. I can't speak to how well it lasts, since my project isn't finished yet.

Comments about Laines Du Nord Baby Milk:

I have a plethora of nephews being born this year, and wanted something to make a blanket for each of them. I like mine to be light and durable, and I was intrigued by the mixture of fiber in this particular yarn.

I've just started the blanket, on a size 7, and it's working up beautifully. The drape is lovely, and it's loose, but not TOO loose. I'm excited to see the finished product!

                          Service and delivery comments:

The delivery was prompt, even ordering in the middle of the season's first snowpocalypse, right after Christmas.

I had delivery issues, and customer service was wonderful to work with. I will most certainly be purchasing from WEBS again.

Comments about Laines Du Nord Baby Milk:

I live in Texas, so I was looking for something to knit a couple of simple sweaters with. The yarn is delicious to touch. One of the colors I ordered sold out so I only got a few of the balls, however, I decided to make gloves with that color rather than the sweater I had intended. The yarn is a lighter weight than I expected, but I can't wait to see how the garments turn out in this luscious yarn.

I'd happily pay more for a longer/ more standard 300+ yard ball/hank. A project of any size has a ton of tails to work in! An open lace shawl... all those lovely feeling silky smooth sewn in tails? They work loose right away.
