Cons

  • Wish I had more time

Best Uses

Comments about Araucania Rinihue:

Lovely and beautiful yarn. Have not decided yet, maybe socks. Wish colors could be more accurate to actual product, but will not be returning any. Would love swatches of particular groups as I live in Florida and it is difficult to find large collections of yarns.

A good choice for accessories but...

      Comments about Araucania Rinihue:

I knit a cardigan with front eyelet panels in this yarn. It was a poor choice, as the inconsistancy between the hand-dyed skeins led to a finished garment with lots of flashing and pooling. To add to the problem there were panels of an eyelet stitch on the fronts of the sweater. The yarn itself has a dry hand, no stretch and a rustic quality to it. It was a poor choice for a garment but a more appropriate choice for 1 skein accessories!

      Worked well for triangular weaving

      Comments about Araucania Rinihue:

This yarn was used to teach continuous strand weaving. It was a a bit too stiff and "stuck" together a little, making the hand weaving a little difficult. However, the colors blended nicely and the end result was beautiful. It did "full" well, making a nice feeling soft shawl.
