        NOT Fingering weight, not thrilled.

        By perturbed crafter

        from morrisville, PA

        Pros

        • Beautiful Color

        Cons

        • Blowout Sale No Returns
        • Closeout Yarn
        • Not Fingering Weight

        Best Uses

This is a lace weight yarn, which is obvious after receiving it. Bought this with a specific pattern in mind that calls for fingering weight, which this is not.
The colors are beautiful, and I'm sure I will find something to make with it, but I feel this yarn is mislabeled.
Have not worked it yet, no idea how it handles.

I would return it, but it was purchased during the blowout sale and all sales are final.
I will be reading customer reviews from now on.

          Tangled Nightmare, Unusable

          By WYcrochet

          from Laramie, WY

          Pros

            Cons

            • Tangles

            Best Uses

              1) Not fingering weight yarn. Fine LACE weight yarn.
              2) Hanks are super labor intensive to wind into balls and become a tangled nightmare. The ends are difficult to find and woven all through the hank so even a winding machine would destroy the yarn. I will probably have to throw the yarn away.

The colors are beautiful, which is what possessed me to try winding them into balls and double strand the yarn. *facepalm* I recommend sending this back if you get it expecting fingering weight instead of keeping it. Better yet, do not buy in the first place.

              Beautiful lace weight colorways

              • Shawls

I purchased this after one review. Decided I would wait for it to arrive to verify that this was indeed, lace weight yarn. It is. However, my projects can accomodate either yarn. I am happy with the color saturation of the cotton. I am eager to knit this up to see how the pattern of the color changes. There's enough for more than one project per skein. I like two-fers!

              Gorgeous but very thin

                Best Uses

I was really expecting a thicker gauge, as the description said fingering. This is lace weight yarn. Not sure now what I will do with it. A little disappointed, but will say, I don't want to send it back. The colors are lovely and it's as soft as cotton can get. I'll find a use for it. Hopefully there is enough yardage to still make a lace shawl if I double the yarn.

                  Definitely not fingering

                  • Really Fine Laceweight

                  Best Uses

I thought I could use this for shawls so I bought 2 different colorways. I am struggling to crochet with the first. Just too thin a yarn for me. Webs should change the description to lace from fingering

                    Beautiful color

                        Best Uses

I also thought it was fingering weight but found if you use it doubled it will work as a fingering weight yarn. Webs should change it in the description so as not to confuse their customers. I bought it as I can only wear cotton yarn. It is a good quality cotton.

This yarn is really beautiful, I got the pastel and the color is just gorgeous, the only hitch is that this is LACE WEIGHT, not fingering as I thought it would be. Still, can't wait to use it.
