Comments about SMC Select Extra Soft Merino Color:
This yarn is very soft, as advertised, and the colors (I used the purple/gold combination) are striking. One note on that colorway: there is a lot of gold, contrary to what is pictured.
The yarn splits easily, but was OK once I got used to it. The biggest problem was that the purple dye ran a lot when it was washed, and changed to gold color quite a bit. That was definitely not good.
