There is no luster or sheen to this yarn. It is fairly bulky and hard to use. It is supposedly silk, but unlike any silk I've ever encountered. The color is great, but my finished product was heavy and dense. I cannot think of any project appropriate for this yarn.

I bought this yarn to make the "Toni" tunic which was designed by Tahki-S. Charles specifically for this yarn. Even on clearance, it was quite costly. I was disappointed in the yarn's appearance, performance, and hand. Even though it is labeled 100% silk, it has neither the lustre of charmeuse-type silk nor the crunch and drape of raw silk. It looks like a cotton mop. I even did a burn test and was unable to determine conclusively that it was silk. The yarn is actually a net of small threads that snag on everything. It is NOT a plied yarn. Even though I had almost three balls left over, the garment I made stretched considerably and is unfit to wear. There is no evidence of the elegance of rustic silk that I was looking for when I spent all that money.
