Used this to create an Infinity scarf for my adult daughter. Very upset about the tangled mess of the first skein. It took me almost 3 hours to detangle without cutting it. Took special care of the 2nd skein by unrolling the twist making sure the strands were where they were suppose to be and not crossed then I hung it it up and proceeded to start rerolling. In the process I found roughly 5 knots in the skein and LOTS of hard plant pieces that pricks which I had to remove as I went along and I know I didn't get them all.Which if they were to fall into someones eye could do damage. They are either from not cleaning the wool well or from the flax plant that made the linen.I was highly perturbed. How much do you think my time, aggravation, and disappointment are worth? On the other hand the yarn is so soft and beautiful. I have to buy a few more skeins to finish my project but wouldn't buy it again otherwise. I wonder if that is why it was on sale. If so it would be a kind gesture to give folks a heads up about it. Frankly, I can buy a cheaper yarn that is better rolled but I wanted natural soft beautiful yarns for my daughter not acrylic. Despite its beauty and softness I am truly disappointed with the unexpected extras that pose problems and waste my precious time.I would recommend with a warning and explanation only.

I purchased 9 skeins of the winter garden yarn and I knitted a Cable Shrug from the Rustic Garden yarns. I LOVE THIS yarn and the shrug came out gorgeous albeit heavy and warm and its now May in New England!
I can't wait to wear it when the weather is cold again!

Comments about Debbie Bliss Winter Garden:

Such a disappointment when this arrived. Although it is a gorgeous color, I ordered 'Jade,' it is nowhere near 'super bulky.' I would classify this between worsted and bulky and would never use number 13 needles, as suggested.

I am making a purse, so I can easily modify my pattern, casting on more stitches, but now I am afraid I will run out of yarn and have to order more and pay more shipping.

WEBS, you really should classify this yarn weight. It is very misleading. Buyer beware!

This yarn is described as "Super Bulky" ... Its not super bulky... it is more like Aran weight, Bulky at best, but no where NEAR super bulky. I needed super bulky yarn for a sweater I was working on, and was quite suprised when this showed up and was SO thin compaired to all other super bulky yarn I have ever ordered. Other than the weight being completely off, and me having to switch to a different sweater pattern to accomodate the thinner yarn, the yarn was soft (with some prickly bits, but that is expected with natural fibers) and worked up beautifully

I ordered this to use in a pattern that called for super bulky yarn. It turned out to be more of a chunky weight, in my opinion. I had to adjust the pattern to get the size right, and I had to order another skein to finish my project.
That said, I still love the yarn. It worked up very quickly and the finished product looks and feels great.

Although with a recommended needle size of 13, I was expecting it to be chunkier, it's a good chunky weight and knit up fast on 11s. I used 3 skeins to make a beautiful fisherman's rib infinity scarf that I love. The flecks of electric blue in the orange are gorgeous. Also pretty soft for a tweed. Would definitely recommend - it just has the feel of quality. If it was a bit cheaper I'd use it all the time.

Comments about Debbie Bliss Winter Garden:

I am working on a fisherman's rib scarf in this yarn and it's creating just a really gorgeous fabric that I LOVE. It's relatively soft, just stretchy enough, and knits quickly. The only thing to note is that it's a lot less bulky than the site makes it seem, with a suggested needles size of 13. I'm knitting the scarf on size 11 needles, and that is a pretty loose fabric.

Either way, it's a beautiful yarn and the flecks of color are beautiful.

I bought this yarn to make a scarf for my little girl. She doesn't like anything coarse so I thought I give this a try. I wasted so much time untangling the yarn!

I really love the colors and textures but not buying this brand again.
