Comments about Ella Rae Mega:
I used this one in beautiful shade of Sandstone Heather to knit a subper bulky moebius snood. This wool is super easy to handle, even straight from the skein. What I like is its very natural however smooth feel. The only thing which could prevent me from buying it again is the fact it sheds everywhere, so much that the beige hair left on my black coat was mistaken for angora cat's hair !!!! Even though the colour palette is very attractive, as they somehow manage to make the most neutral shades vibrant!
Comments about Ella Rae Mega:
I do NOT like working with large needles, but I have made an exception for this yarn! It is wonderful!
I am knitting a poncho & like it well enough that I will be knitting a 2nd one!
The only drawback is that it has no twist. Need to knit carefully not to split the yarn.
Pros
- Soft
Cons
- Breaks easily

Comments about Ella Rae Mega:
Although I love Webs, I am very disappointed in this yarn. I was excited to begin my project with this soft, bulky yarn, but even when I was balling the skeins, the yarn broke easily. I thought I could twist it as I was knitting--tedious-but that wasn't enough! It broke multiple times in the 1st ten rows of my sweater. I gave up because if it ripped so easily while knitting, the sweater might tear apart in every day use.
Pros
- Easy to work with
- Knits up quickly

Comments about Ella Rae Mega:
This is the first super bulky yarn I've worked with, and once I got over how huge it looked in the hank and started the convertible scarf/cowl project I bought it for I really liked it. It works up fast even for a slow knitter like me. Stitch definition is great - the project has cables and they really look sculpted.
The one little letdown I'm experiencing is that this yarn has no sheen. It's very wooly, but I may be prejudiced because my last few projects were with skinny, shiny stuff like bamboo and merino sock yarn.
It's a single but there doesn't seem to be any problem with breakage. It does split a little, probably because the only #15 needles I have are pointy metal things.
All in all, I like it. It's different from what I'm used to and I'm enjoying how fast the project is going.
