This "yarn" is awesome to knit with I Loom Knit off and on, and my daughters only loom, they wanted this scarf the minute they saw it, but I wanted something that they could knit on the looms, after I did the first one to teach them they have made several for themselves and bff's. One of my girls has even begun a hat with this yarn on her loom. It is a bit pricy for the yarnage, however many of their scarfs have only been one skein that they are giving to friends, however for their own scarfs they use 1 and a half skeins, and the hat my youngest is working on will be two skeins, but since they are wearing them and knitting them I consider it money well spent.

Very important to measure skein BEFORE you begin any project. Skein does not match yardage that is shown on label. (may be pieced together to make up yardage.) This will effect project that is supposed to be made continuously with one skein. Also note that you are being shorted yardage on each skein by at least 1 and 2/3 yds. Some skeins even more. I was told by customer svs that they cAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT QUALITY CONTROL BECAUSE product is made in Turkey as the label states. No one has rectified my problem as yet, but they did send me this survey. I have purchased 6 skeins as of this date and each skein is short by atleast 1 and 2/3 yds and I believe something should be done about it. It is wrong to sell under such conditions. One project turns out to be shorter than the one before it and it really matters. I have had to adjust all measurements according to what the skein actually measures. lI love the yarn, I'm just not happy with how yardage is computed.

Tinseltown knits into a beautiful glamour scarf. I saw a friend knitting them and ordered the yarn to start knitting again after 60 years. I am having such fun & am finishing my 4 th scarf.
All of the ladies in my family selected colors for scarves for Christmas.

Beautiful scarfs that add sparkle to suits and winter coats. It is quick and fast to work with. The price is very reasonable when you compare the finished product in the department stores and they have a better quality of yarn when finally made. I did not receive compensation for this review.

Tinseltown used to make lovely scarves. Comes in many lovely collars. Only disappointment was that occasionally a skein would not be all in one piece the two pieces could easily be spliced into the knitting.
Also, occasionally the ribbon in a skein was quite wrinkled, but when I rolled the skein into a ball and let me sit for many days, it tended to iron out.

Looked beautiful and I was anxious to make a scarf. However, when I began to unfold the yard from the skein, there were numerous sections where the tinsel was entangled upon itself, and the yarn was folded over and crinkled. I tried straightening it out and lightly steaming it, but only to find more crinkled sections further into the skein. I ended up returning the product as not useable for me.

I bought this yarn at a store after seeing the example made up. The clerk assured me that it only took one skein to make the scarf and the directions were on the packaging. I followed the directions with 8 stitches across and double Y/O with each stitch and the scarf came out under 40" - way too short for a scarf. Looking at additional information on the web it looks like it was supposed to be at least 47" long, which is still too short for a scarf in my opinion. I ended up re-doing it with only 6 stitches per row and beginning each row with a 1 Y/O and then alternating 2 Y/O and 1 Y/O across, ending with a 2 Y/O before turning. It was a little skinnier, but it came out almost 60" which is a much better length. I also used a size 4 circular needles and it was much easier to work up than with the 8's. It's lovely! I plan on making more soon as gifts for teachers this Christmas.
